Zhang was born in 1983 in the ancient town of Chenghai, which is located in Shantou city, on the east coast of  Guangdong province.

     He studied Chinese painting at the Guangzhou Art Academy and specialized in wall painting. A highly decorated student at the art academy, Zhang participated in many art competitions and was graduated in 2008. 

     He is a professional artist and his Chinese ink wash paintings have clinched many awards including a Bronze Medal at the 2010 Guangdong Lingnan Art Exhibition.

     Many of Zhang’s artworks were collected by the Guangdong Art Museum and the Guangzhou Art Academy.
