Mo is from Deqin county in Guangdong province. He studied art at the Sculpture Department of Lingnan Art Institute in 1995.

     Mo had the chance to learn sculpture art and carving skill from the legendary sculpture master Zhong Zhiyuan, the Principal of Guangzhou Sculpture Art Academy at the time.

     “Mo’s works of art are mostly focused on people. Ordinary people that are simple and naive, liberating a gesture of calmness and sophistication from inside,” said art critics.

     Through the years, Mo’s artworks had received many honors and awards. In 2014, Mo’s work of art titled “Dreaming of Jiangnan” was being selected as one of the best works of art at the 12th National Art Exhibition in China.

     Mao is currently residing in Foshan, Guangdong province.
