Bao is from Zhejiang province and she was born in 1969. After graduated from the Sculpture Department of the China Art Academy in 1997, Bao became a professional sculptress and specialized in the art of wood carving. Bao is currently residing in Beijing.

     From 2008 to 2015, she had participated in more than 25 exhibitions including a solo show in 2014 at the River Bay Art Museum in Beijing.

     The latest award winning creation by Bao is a series of miniature ‘Cheongsam’ – a popular kind of Chinese female apparel dated back to the beginning of the 20th century. Bao named the collection “Knot”, which is a common feature of ‘Cheongsam.’

     The “Knot” collection symbolizes the artistic interpretation of the feminine gender in China.
