Wu was born in 1976 in Anyuan County, Jiangxi province. Wu is a professional artist and specialized in lacquer painting. 

     He is a member of the National Artist Union and a council member of the Foshan Art Association in Guangdong province. Wu’s enormous experience in the art of lacquer painting also made him a deputy director of the Lacquer Painting Committee of Foshan Art Association.

     Through the years, Wu’s work of art has won him many awards and honors. Recently, a lacquer painting by Wu titled “Dusty Memories” was awarded at the Xiamen National Lacquer Painting Competition 2015.

     Although the use of lacquer, a natural finishing materials, has more than 2,000 years of history in China, lacquer painting is considered a new species and rare work of art developed by Chinese artists in the past decade.
