Lin is from Leizhou, Guangdong province. He was graduated from Shantou University in 2004. Lin is specialized in traditional Chinese ink wash painting.
Between 2009 and 2015, Lin had participated in 23 major art events in the country and collected many honors and awards.
Lin’s latest collection “The Dragon Boat series” included many artworks created by him in recent years at different river villages in southern China. The Dragon Boat Festival is still a very much celebrated fiesta in the country. During the festival, Dragon Boat races were staged and enjoyed by both athletes and the public.
Another series by Lin, titled “Dachong” – a quiet little river village in Zhongshan, Guangdong, presents an ideal setting for his art creation in recent years.
“Traditional Chinese ink wash paintings by Lin can be described as untraditional in a way that the artist acts like a historian. Works of art by Lin are revolutionary. The rich and detailed content of Lin’s paintings can be treated as part of the historical archives of the place,” said art critics.
