Artist: LIAO ZHI XIN, ANGUS Angus Liao was born in Guangzhou city in 1990. He studied art at the Guangxi Art Institute and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art Education in 2013. Since then, the young artist continued to study oil painting and has devoted much of his time on oil painting research work. These days, Liao used to shuttle frequently between Guangzhou and Beijing. “As an artist, to live and work in two of the top three cities in China is not easy without compromise,” said Liao. Art critics said Liao's painting style has an overwhelming pressure posed by the darkness and the sudden light. Liao would describe it as a whiter shade of blue - I love surprise, it doesn't matter whether it's good or bad." Many of Liao’s artworks were acquired by The China ASEAN Art Museum, The Shangyuan International Museum of Art, galleries and private collectors in China.
