Artist: LIU BAO MIN Liu was born in 1968 in Xi'an. He is a professional artist and currently living and working in Song Zhuang, Beijing. While Liu was a boy, he had already developed keen interest in drawing pictures. He would grab any tools within reach to draw on any surface within sight, such as walls, tables, seat backs and even his neighbor's bed linens drying under the sun. Liu enrolled at the Xi'an Art Academy and was admitted in 1987. He learnt oil painting and received formal training. Liu was active and full of ideas which made him a star in the academy. After graduation, Liu decided to pursuit his childhood dream and became a professional artist. "The works of art by Liu are changing with time; people are being led to another and another ecstasy along the way. Same as China’s reform which began in the 80s and followed by powerful economic development in the past 30 years. Liu’s paintings are stuffed with impeccable strength," said local critics.
