Born in 1969, Zhang was graduated from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts with a Bachelor Degree in 1993 and subsequently obtained a Master Degree in 2002.

     He is currently the director at the Sculpture Department of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. Zhang is also actively involved in the promotion of sculpture art and is a director of China Sculpture Institute.

     Between the periods from 2002 to 2015, Zhang’s works of art had been exhibited in more than 30 art events in China and abroad, including Belgium and South Korea.

     The scale and themes of Zhang’s sculpture artworks are very broad, ranging from table top ornaments to outdoor large statues and wall murals.
